The Afghan Army said three commanders were among 22 Taliban killed during fighting in the Nawa district of Helmand province. Three Taliban fighters and a security guard were killed in a firefight in Ghazni province. Two ISAF troops were killed in eastern Afghanistan and a British Marine was killed near Lashkar Gah in Helmand province. A British Harrier crashed at Kandahar Airfield and a USAF Predator crashed in eastern Afghanistan.
