Five suicide bombers died after their explosives detonated prematurely in Ghazni province. Six policemen and one soldier and six Taliban fighters were killed during clashes and attacks in Helmand, Uruzgan, and Zabul provinces. The Afghan Army said it will launch operations to retake control of eight districts in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, and Daikundi provinces from the Taliban.
