Afghan troops killed 25 Taliban fighters after the Taliban executed three government workers in public in the Bala Boluk district in Farah province. Twenty-four Taliban fighters and five Afghan soldiers have been killed in heavy fighting in Ghazi Abad district in Kunar province. The remains of a US soldier who was listed missing since May 1 after a clash in Kunar province have been recovered.
