Afghan commandos killed 19 Taliban fighters in the Helgal Valley in Kunar province’s Shakail Shatel district. Afghan and Coalition forces killed five Taliban in the Nahr Surkh District in Helmand province. Two policemen were killed and seven were wounded in an IED attack in Herat.
