The Taliban released 30 police and paramilitary troops who were captured after their checkpoint in Swat was overrun. Eight Taliban were killed during clashes between rival groups in Arakazai. The Taliban torched 10 NATO supply trucks in Khyber. The leader of the Jamaat-i-Islami said the government should stop cracking down on jihadi groups.
