Afghan and Coalition forces killed a Taliban leader behind IED attacks and suicide attacks in Kandahar province. Eight Taliban fighters in Helmand province and six more in Kandahar were killed during Afghan and Coalition operations. Britain may add an additional 1,800 troops by the end of the year. Afghanistan’s deputy president said President Karzai is a pawn of the US.
