Iraqi security forces detained 46 wanted men and 19 suspects in Basrah, 33 insurgents in Baghdad, three Islamic State of Iraq members in Huweija, and an al Qaeda operative in Khalis. US and Iraqi forces detained nine criminals in Baghdad. An Iraqi soldier was killed and three Iraqis were wounded in a car bomb explosion in western Mosul.
