Afghan and Coalition forces killed 39 Taliban fighters and a Taliban commander during fighting two districts in Helmand province. Five more Taliban fighters were killed during operations in Helmand late last week. Coalition forces killed one insurgent and detained 16 more during operations targeting Hizb-e-Islami Gulbuddin (HIG) and Taliban commanders in Kabul and Zabul provinces.
