Police are investigating threats by Muslim terrorists to conduct attacks if the Bali bombers are executed. A website published a letter by the three Bali bombers that claimed President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would be assassinated, while text messages said the US and Australian embassies would be bombed.

Three simultaneous bombings at a meeting place and a market in the southern province of Narathiwat killed one civilian and wounded more than 70. Muslim insurgents killed one Buddhist woman and wounded her daughter in an attack in a village in Narathiwat. The Buddhist family was the last in the village.
