Coalition forces killed 14 Taliban fighters in Helmand province. Eight prisoners were killed and 215 were wounded as guards attempted to search cells in a Kabul jail. The governor of Kandahar has been fired after just four months on the job. Two ISAF soldiers were killed in an IED attack in southern Afghanistan.


Thailand

Five civilians were killed and 10 civilians and two policemen were wounded, some critically, in a bombing at a gas station in the southern province of Narathiwat. Three civilians were gunned down in Pattani province and one more in Yala province.
