Iraq has deployed police units to the Syrian border after Syrian troops were withdrawn in protest over the Oct. 26 raid that killed al Qaeda operative Abu Ghadiya. Iraq’s ambassador to Syria denied the Syrian government cut off diplomatic relations with Iraq.
