Eight paramilitary troops were killed in a suicide attack in South Waziristan. Thirteen Taliban fighters were killed and four policemen were captured in Swat. A Taliban spokesman claimed the group is not under al Qaeda control and is sincere abut peace talks. The Taliban launched rockets at the Peshawar airport and took over four schools in Mohmand.
