Afghanistan

An Afghan report said a Coalition airstrike and clashes with the Taliban Kandahar province earlier this week killed 37 civilians and 26 Taliban fighters; the Taliban sought shelter near a wedding party during the fighting. Afghan forces killed one Taliban fighter and captured six during raids in Herat, Ghazni, and Khost. Australia has no plans to increase forces and Canada said it is committed to withdrawing by 2011.
