Wast province became the 13th of Iraq’s 18 provinces to transition to Iraqi control. Iraqi security forces captured 28 “wanted men” in Baghdad, 15 al Qaeda fighters in northern Iraq. Iraqi troops also found a massive cache in Sadr City, which included 43 EFPs. Coalition forces captured five Hezbollah Brigades operatives in Amarah, two Special Groups operatives in Baghdad, and,two al Qaeda operatives in Tikrit.
