The Taliban reiterated that it would not negotiate with the West to settle the conflict in Afghanistan. In a statement on its website, Voice of Jehad, the Taliban said they are “the verge of victory” and mocked American, British and, United Nations statements that Afghanistan cannot be won. “The Islamic Emirate wants to make it clear that the only solution … is for the foreign forces to leave Afghanistan unconditionally …”
