The Senior NATO commander in Afghanistan said the West is not losing in Afghanistan, but there are too few troops to provide security. ISAF and Afghan troops killed 65 Taliban fighters in Helmand province. ISAF forces killed two Taliban fighters after they ambushed a World Food Program convoy in Badghis province. Five civilians were killed in a bombing in Zabul province.
