The Interior Minister has fired more than 20,000 policemen in an effort to stamp out corruption. Coalition forces detained 12 al Qaeda fighters in Mosul and captured two Special Groups fighters in Baghdad. Five Iraqis were killed and 35 wounded in two suicide car bomb attacks in Mosul. Eleven Iraqis were killed in bombings in Baghdad. Two Iraqi soldiers were killed in sniper attacks and two Awakening fighters were killed in an ambush in Baghdad.
