Yemeni security forces detained 30 suspected al Qaeda operatives throughout the country after yesterday’s attack on the US Embassy in Sana’a. Abu Ghaith al Yamani, the leader of the Yemeni Islamic Jihad, said his group is part of al Qaeda and vowed to conduct more strikes “against Western interests” if “detained brothers” are not released from prison in 48 hours.
