Coalition forces detained 12 al Qaeda operatives in northern Iraq and five Hezbollah Brigades fighters in New Baghdad. Iraqi troops captured an al Qaeda leader in Tarmiyah. A policeman and a Kurdish security guard were killed during a clash in Jalawlaa. Four policemen were wounded and three insurgents were captured during a raid in Touz Khormato.
