Al Qaeda

Ayman al Zawahiri, al Qaeda’s second in command, issued a new videotape titled “Assessment of Seven Years of Crusades.” Zawahiri accused Iran of collaborating with the US in Iraq and Afghanistan and claimed Hezbollah did not win the 2006 war with Israel. Mustafa Abu Yazid, al Qaeda’s leader in Afghanistan, and Abdulmalik Droukedel, the leader of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, also appeared on the tape.
