Abu Musab Abdulwadood, the leader of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, released an audiotape titled, “A message to our nation in the Islamic Maghreb.” Abdulwadood called for Muslims to unite behind jihad and said Mauritania “has become a nest of foreign intelligence.” He also said Algeria is dominated by France and the US.
