A US missile strike in South Waziristan killed five Taliban. Pakistan denied it worked with the US on the strike. The military said 19 Taliban fighters were killed in Bajaur. Troops moved into a region in Swat after the Taliban agreed to withdraw. The Taliban executed a “US spy” in Khyber, bombed a bridge on the Indus Highway, and warned a woman not to work with USAID.
