The US has invited Pakistan to join in on a probe investigating the June 10 cross-border attack in the Mohmand region. The Taliban killed five tribesmen accused of being “US spies.” Seven Taliban fighters were freed from jail in Swat. The leader of the Taliban in Hangu met with the local government to discuss crime in the region. The three major tribes in North Waziristan are discussing the security situation with the government.
