Iraqi police captured 65 Mahdi Army fighters during operations in Dhi Qhar province. Police detained three Special Groups operatives believed to be involved in the February 2007 attack at the Karbala PJCC. Iraqi and Coalition forces killed three al Qaeda fighters and detained five during raids in northern Iraq. Iraqi Special Operations Forces detained four al Qaeda operatives in the Tall Abtah area northwest of Mosul. Coalition forces detained two al Qaeda cell leaders and three associates in Baghdad.
