Coalition forces captured a “Taliban Haqqani network leader” and three associates in Paktika province. Afghan and Coalition forces killed “several” Taliban fighters during fighting in Zabul and Kandahar provinces. Three Coalition troops and an interpreter were killed in an attack in Wardak province. Kandahar security officials were sacked over the Sarposa prison break.
