A former al Qaeda fighters in the Balkans testified at a UN trial that the Saudi High Commission for Relief of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an agency of the Saudi government, funded his unit’s activities during the 1990s. He said the Saudi agency funneled tens of millions of dollars into mujahideen units led by al Qaeda operatives who fought with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan.
