Yemen arrested five people in connection with Tuesday’s mortar attack on the US Embassy in Sana’a. The identities of the alleged attackers was not made public. The mortars were fired from the roof of a nearby apartment rented by the attackers, a Yemeni official stated. One guard was killed and 17 school girls injured when the mortars fell short and landed in a school yard. The State Department authorized voluntary departure of nonessential staff on Wednesday.
