The Austrian government refused to meet the demands put forth by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb for the release of two Austrian nationals held hostage by the terror group. The two Austrians were kidnapped in Tunisia and are now believed to have been moved to Mali. Austria has asked for assistance from French intelligence to resolve the standoff.
