Seven Taliban fighters were detained in the Garmsir district in Helmand province. The Taliban attacked a communications tower in the Shar-e-Safa district in Zabul province. The US has restarted the use of Uzbekistan as a supply base. NATO may ask Russia to provide logistical support.
