Al Qaeda’s North Africa branch claimed it kidnapped the two Austrian nationals last seen on the Tunisian-Algerian border in late February. Algerian security forces are currently combing eastern villages in search of the pair. The Algerian newspaper, Ennahar, says the kidnappers moved the Austrians to Mali.
One of the bombers hit the building that housed Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency headquarters as well as a US counterterrorism team.
