Hamza al Dhayany was named as a suspect in Tuesday’s mortar attack on the US Embassy in Sana’a. Al Dhayany was the driving instructor for a suicide car bomber who murdered eight Spanish tourists in Marib in 2007. An explosion and fire occurred Saturday at a hotel frequented by western tourists in Sana’a. The two events are reportedly unrelated, with the fire having spread from a textile shop just as a military aircraft flew overhead and broke the sound barrier.
