Austria has denied sending the elite Cobra counterterrorist unit to Mali to help locate and rescue two Austrian nationals kidnapped by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb along the Algeria-Tunisia border more than a month ago. Al Qaeda kidnappers have extended their deadline for negotiations over the Austrian hostages until April 6. The two hostages are reportedly in good health.
