US forces detained 19 Special Groups operatives in the Sha’ab neighborhood, one in Baghdad, and three near Saba al Bour, northwest of Baghdad. Iraqi Army and Coalition forces detained 38 al Qaeda operatives during raids in Mosul. Coalition forces detained 14 al Qaeda operatives in central Iraq. Iraqi security forces arrested 23 terrorists in Baghdad and Samarra. An Awakening leader and two bodyguards were killed in a double suicide bomb attack in Fallujah.
