Sixteen Pakistanis were killed and 10 were wounded in an IED attack on a vehicle carrying a wedding party in Matta, Swat. The Pakistan People’s Party will nominate the next prime minister; Makhdoom Amin Fahim will likely be the new PM. The new government may result in a reduction of covert US strikes against al Qaeda leaders inside Pakistan.
