US forces killed four al Qaeda operatives and defused seven IEDs in Miqdadiyah. One al Qaeda operative was killed and four captured while attempting to plant an IED in Baqubah. Iraqi security forces captured 30 insurgents during operations in Baghdad. The USAF dropped 38 bombs totaling 40,000 pounds on al Qaeda safe havens in Arab Jabour.
