The military defeated an attack on a base in South Waziristan; two soldiers were wounded in a rocket attack in a separate incident. The Taliban fired rockets at a base in Mohmand and bombed two fuel tankers in Chaman destined for NATO forces in Afghanistan. Six men were wounded as they stopped an attack on a barber shop in Quetta. Six Taliban were captured in Swat. The army has deployed to 22 districts in Punjab province.
