Coalition forces detained 19 al Qaeda operatives during raids in central and northern Iraq and a Special Groups leader and three operatives in the Qasirin area. Iraqi security forces killed 15 al Qaeda and detained 20 during operations in Miqdadiyah and captured an al Qaeda leader near Khalis. A suicide bomber wounded 21 after detonating in front of a school in Baqubah.
