The military attacked two Taliban camps in North Waziristan with helicopters and artillery. Negotiations with the TNSM in Bajaur have failed. Indian intelligence said claims that Pakistan has arrested Dawood Ibrahim are false. The Interior Ministry will attempt to re-arrest freed “militants.”

Over two dozen Taliban fighters were killed after their frontal attack on a firebase in Uruzgan was repelled by US and Afghan forces.
