Sheikh Mahmoud Abu al Qaqaa, a recruiter of foriegn fighters for al Qaeda in Iraq, was shot and killed in the city of Aleppo as he left the Imam Mosque after Friday prayers. Al Qaqaa was appointed the head of a religious school by the Syrian government last year.
