The interior ministry denied the Muqdadiya police chief and seven of his bodyguards were kidnapped earlier this week. Thirteen insurgents were captured in Doura; another six insurgents were captured southeast of Baghdad. Six al Qaeda operatives were captured in raids nationwide.
