Al Qaeda has named Mustafa Abu Yazid (a.k.a. Said) as its new commander of Afghanistan. Said replaced Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi, who was captured while trying to enter Iraq, and “is a former member of Egyptian Jihad who enjoys the confidence of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.”
