UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown will face pressure from Parliament to explain why MI6 conducted negotiations with the Taliban. Afghan security forces said over 150 Taliban were killed during several days of fighting in the Charchini district of Uruzgan province. The fighting is still ongoing. Afghan and Coalition forces detained three Taliban fighters during a raid in Nangarhar Province.
