Helmand Governor Asadullah Wafa declares the Coalition’s assault on Musa Qala has begun. ISAF drops leaflets over the city urging the remaining residents to flee the city center. ISAF forces are reportedly within two miles of Musa Qala City. A British recon soldier was killed and two others were wounded after their patrol engaged an IED near Musa Qala.
