The Somali government closed down Radio Shabelle, Radio Banadir, and Radio Simba. Shabaab threatened to kill a Somali journalist. The president said the Hawiye clan spokesman was a spokesman for Shabaab. Former Ismalic Courts leader Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys accused the UN of neglecting Somalia.
