Coalition forces captured 27 al Qaeda foreign terrorist and propaganda operatives in raids nationwide. The Iraqi Army captured two al Qaeda fighters in As Sa™diyah, six in Anbar, and eight insurgents in Baghdad. Nine Iraqis were killed and 20 wounded in a bombing attack on the convoy of the Finance Minister’s advisor. Seventeen insurgents have been sentenced to death in Diwaniyah. A Mahdi Army commander was captured in Khalis.
