An Afghan police commander said over 100 Taliban have been killed during fighting in Kandahar’s Zari district since Saturday. The Taliban murdered five policemen captured several months ago and hung them from trees in Uruzgan. A suicide bomber killed only himself in an attempted attack on US forces in Nangahar province.
