The Iraqi government reported civilian deaths from killings have halved over the past month. Al Qaeda in Iraq confirmed the US killed Abu Usama al Tunisi last week. Iraqi Special Operations Forces captured 23 suspected al Qaeda in Iraq operatives. Coalition special forces killed seven al Qaeda operatives and captured 11 during raids in central and northern Iraq.
