The government claims a cease fire has not been agreed to, while members of the Taliban said the military has already withdrawn from checkpoints in North Waziristan. A tribal leaders said “foreign militants could live in the area provided they abided by the law of the land and lived peacefully.” The Taliban is raising money for those killed in the fighting in Waziristan. A bombing at a bazaar in Mohmand agency destroyed five shops.
