Muqtada al Sadr has reiterated his call for the Mahdi Army to halt fighting after clashes in Karbala and Diwaniyah. The Mahdi Army attacked a police station in Basra. US forces found a large EFP cache, including 120 assembled EFPs and 150 copper discs. Coalition forces captured 21 al Qaeda operatives. The Iraqi military killed three insurgents and captured 59.
