Al Qaeda

US forces killed Abu Mohammed al-Afri, aka Abu Jassam, the al Qaeda emir of Sinjar behind the multiple suicide bombings in the Yazidi villages in northern Iraq last month. Jassam was an associate of Abu Musab al Masri, the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq. The US military said 334 civilians were killed in the attacks.
